BIO
As a New York City-based music journalist, I currently host a film music blog, Film Score Click Track, and serve as the Managing Editor for FSM Online, a subscription-based film music publication, in addition to writing editorials, feature articles, and a bi-monthly column for the magazine. In addition, I have written CD liner notes for Varèse Sarabande Records and Film Score Monthly.
In my work as a freelance writer, editor, and author, I have written and edited a broad range of business-related documents—everything from company newsletters, press releases, and employee handbooks, to marketing materials, ad copy, and sell sheets, as well as event journals and scripts for videos, recognition events, and large-scale Broadway concerts. Other clients include Film Score Monthly, Disques Cinemusique, Varèse Sarabande Records, American Red Cross in Greater New York, The Broadway League, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music, Schlumberger, American Express, Ernst & Young, American Society of Administrative Professionals, Sandelman Partners, and the Miklós Rózsa Society.
I hold a Bachelor of Music from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Music from The University of Texas, with concentrations in Clarinet Performance. In former career lives, I studied as a composer and lyricist at the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and later composed songs for TADA! children’s theater.
When I’m not working on your project, you can find me listening to film music, buried in a book, hanging out with my dogs Watson and Sir, and/or gently requesting tourists to get out of my way.
